The Town of Fishkill’s annual town-wide cleanup day is set for September 17, from 7am to 2pm at Maurer Geering Park. This event is for Town residents only, and anyone wishing to drop off bulk debris must provide proof of residence.
No vans or utility trailers will be permitted, nor will any trucks larger than a pickup truck bed. Construction debris and hazardous materials including engine oil, lawn and garden chemicals, insecticides, pesticides, poisons, corrosive materials, paint materials such as latex or oil based paints, turpentines, shellacs, gasoline, kerosene and other flammable liquids, pressurized tanks or aerosol cans can not be accepted due to landfill restrictions.
A shredding truck will be on hand, and residents can bring up to three file boxes or kitchen garbage bags for shredding.
An e-waste container will be provided for items such as computers, printers, televisions, cells phones etc. Visit Royal Carting’s website for acceptable e-waste items.
