Round Hill Pool Opening Delay

As you are all aware it is Memorial Day weekend and this is typically when the Round Hill Pool opens.  As you are also aware, the Mid-Hudson Valley region of NYS is still subject to Governor Cuomo’s COVID-19 restrictions and that includes us being unable to open the pool on schedule.

The NYS COVID-19 reopening guidelines has a multi-phase approach with different types of businesses and social activities being opened in different phases. The first phase of reopening is scheduled for the week of May 25th and NYS has at minimum 2-weeks between phases to assess the impact of the re-openings.  Pools as a social activity are scheduled to be part of phase 4.  Looking at the best case scenario, it means the pool could potentially be opened as soon as early July.  This timeline is NOT a guarantee and it is highly dynamic, subject to change on a moment’s notice, and there a very real possibility that it might not be opened at all this summer.  We have been and will continue to work with the Dutchess County Department of Health and if and when the time comes that the pool can be safely opened, we will communicate that to everyone.

It is also critical to remember that the safety of all residents and our lifeguard staff are of the utmost importance and regardless of the guidance from our state and/or local government, Round Hill reserves the right to take any action we feel necessary to make sure everyone stays safe.
